Dylan Cappel was a young man who at the age of 23, had just recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and should have been making plans for the next phase of his life. Instead Dylan was fighting to make it to the next phase of his life. Sadly, Dylan lost his fight, but through his pain, Dylan touched many lives across the US. From his family and friends in Millbrae and throughout the Peninsula, to his rowing team at the University of Wisconsin, to his fiance Patty in Chicago and to the thousands of people in the US alone that will be diagnosed with colon cancer this year.
Dylan's rowing teammates at the University of Wisconsin honored Dylan by dedicating the 2002 rowing season in his name and honor. Dylan was a remarkable athlete. Dylan was a wonderful friend. Dylan was a loving son and brother.
